Finally, here is the Evan Parker interview from the Ashgate book. I was really pleased he agreed to be involved as seeing him play for the first time was one of those moments where things change. He was doing a workshop in Huddersfield and it’s fair to say I was not expecting the torrent of circular breathing multiphonics that ensued. I still love it.
This concludes the uploads of the Ashgate interviews. I’m pleased to see they are getting some exposure now that they are more widely available. It’s made me think what to do next, so I feel it’s probably time to do some more. The original project was driven by a fascination with some composers’ work and I think I’m at a similar point again now with the kinds of people who I’m featuring in my playlist. This looks like a summer project.
