London Odda Oslo Huddersfield

I’ve got a few performances coming up in the next month or so. Firstly, I’ll be playing with Manuel Zurria at the Italian Cultural Institute in London on 2 October as part of a project where he has asked composers to write him pieces in which they also play. We’ll be giving the first performance of my new duo lots and lots for us to do, part of my series things to do, which involves a relatively competitive take on interpersonal cueing. The following week Mark Knoop and Øyvind Skarbø perform another piece from this series, you say what to do, at the Litteratursymposiet i Odda on 8 October, followed on 11 October by the first performance of my new piece for asamisimasa. They will be performing positions in the sequence correctly recalled at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. The piece requires the players to generate and remember long interleaved sequences of sounds, while constantly undermining each other’s memory. We then meet up again in Huddersfield in November for a repeat performance at hcmf//. Really looking forward to working with everyone again, and it should be a fun couple of months.
