My new piece for eight soprano saxophones, eight panels, was performed yesterday in St Andrews at the World Saxophone Congress. The piece was commissioned by the reed manufacturer RICO. It was a very interesting weekend, and I was really pleased with the performance by a group of fantastic players: Philippe Braquart, Eleri Ann Evan, Jean-Denis Michat, Lars Mlekusch, Henrique Portovedo, Joonatan Rautiola, Javier Valerio and Stacy Wilson.
