the sense of a shared world made of shared values (2022)

the sense of a shared world made of shared values explores imitation and reciprocation between two people as a way of thinking about human sociality. The players simultaneously instigate sound-making actions and copy those made by the other player, balancing leading and following through non-verbal negotiation.

The title is taken from Philippe Rochat and Claudia Passos-Ferreira’s ‘From Imitation to Reciprocation and Mutual Recognition’ (2008).
