sometimes it all gets a bit too much and you need a break (2025)

In sometimes it all gets a bit too much and you need a break the players work through a looping series of sounds, gradually accumulating processed recordings of themselves to create a dense texture. Once established they try to find a way to escape it by navigating through a series of cues that allow them to remove the layers and processing. The piece is part of a series that plays with constrained movement through labyrinths and tries to explore different ways to make sense of complex or confusing situations. I really like puzzles, so that’s probably important too.
