six surfaces, all of the same dimensions but otherwise different (2012- ) is a distributed sound piece. It comprises a folder containing six different surfaces. The folder is passed between participants, with the instruction to make a recording by dragging an object across the six surfaces after arranging them in a line. Each participant removes one of the surfaces and replaces it with a new one before passing to the next person. The recordings are archived below.
